PM SHRI GIC Tarpalisain

The Scouts and Guides program at PM SHRI GIC Tarpalisain is an integral part of the school’s co-curricular framework, aimed at instilling leadership, discipline, and a spirit of service among students. This movement provides opportunities for students to participate in various training sessions, outdoor activities, social service initiatives, and national-level camps, which help develop their physical, emotional, and moral strength. The Scouting movement was first introduced in India in the year 1909, following its global founding by Lord Baden-Powell in 1907 in the United Kingdom. The Bharat Scouts and Guides organization, which governs the program in India, was officially formed in 1950 after the merger of several scouting associations post-independence.

The motto of Scouts is “Be Prepared” and for Guides, it is also “Be Prepared”, which signifies the importance of readiness to face any situation with courage, confidence, and responsibility. Through this initiative, students are encouraged to serve their community, respect nature, uphold moral values, and contribute positively to nation-building. At PM SHRI GIC Tarpalisain, the Scouts and Guides program fosters teamwork, patriotism, and self-discipline—shaping students into socially responsible and confident individuals.
